Trapped Dog, Victims Rescued From Route 287 Crash By Firefighters (Photos)

Firefighters made quick work in rescuing trapped people and one dog from a vehicle crash off of Route 287 in Somerset County Saturday, June 10.

The crash occurred just after 6:30 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway in Bridgewater, near mile post 20.4, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said.

A Mercedes and a Hyundai were involved in the crash, leaving the two occupants of the Hyundai temporarily entrapped, Curry said. Once freed from the vehicle, they were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
